Without the Internet distance learning would have remained extremely difficult and expensive. Many people today consider it both, but they have never had to deal with it back in the day when all correspondence was on phone, running up enormous bills; or when lecture notes had to be sent by post, taking never-ending days and weeks before delivery. With the Internet most of these problems are now a thing of the past. Distance learning has been around for a while, but the advent of the World Wide Web has made it extremely more visible and feasible. People who would never have considered it as a possibility are now drawn to this system of education because it is now less expensive, less time consuming, and plenty more convenient. If for some reason you find it difficult to physically attend college, there are a number of ways that it is now made possible. These days more people opt for distance education because of how easy and convenient it is. It rarely costs more than it does for those who actually attend college, nor does it take significantly more time. You only have to take the time to study properly because of lack of supervision. Who wouldnt like to take lectures in the comfort of their own rooms while sipping cool lemonade, instead of it the constipated unease of a crowded lecture room?! You could live in Oregon and school in New York with no trouble at all. Truth is, you dont even have to come to school a single day of the duration of your course. On the Internet you can easily locate schools and institutions that provide distance learning courses that will interest you. Registration, payments, and even attendance can all be done online. When its time for your tests, the school can even provide controlled conditions that uphold everyones integrity. You have little to worry about.
